He made sure that he offered sacrifices after they were done feasting (Job 1:5). We live at a time when partying is the order of the day for these children. The book of Ephesians 6:4 urges parents to discipline their children and instruct them in the way of the Lord. The same scripture also warns against fathers provoking their children. Children need to live in an environment where there is love and care. They need instruction regarding life in general as well as what the Lord requires of children. But when they are wrong, the father needs to discipline them
Proverbs 13:24 says that as a parent, your love for the child if you do not spare the rod for any parent that does not discipline his or her child, certainly does not love such a child. This means, that one way to show love for the child is by disciplining them when they are in the wrong.
