Every night we rest, reflect on our lives and most importantly pray. Speak into tomorrow before it arrives. Romans 4:17 tells us to call those things which are not, as though they were. Praying at night has little disturbances, its a great time to reclaim your possessions and because in the morning you might be busy rushing for work. Prayer for the night, covers whats coming and prepares us for our race. Pray for tonight and whats coming tomorrow, possibly even through out the week in advance.
James 5:16, states, “prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” Night prayers are very effective. Ephesians 6:12 makes it clear, even rulers of darkness of this world, operate during night times. So, praying at night is more like fighting an on going battle as it happens.
Before Praying Bedtime Prayers
Its always good practice before praying to open up your heart. Welcome the holy spirit and his presence, with a hymn or any worship song. Take at least a minimum of 10 – 30 minutes just giving God the worship and praise. Do this until you feel peaceful, re leaved and ready to pray.
“For God is a spirit that dwells in us, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24. Jesus talking to disciples in Luke 4:8 replied, “You shall worship the Lord your God”. If we can only give him the admiration, worship and praise, God will draw us onto himself. Matthew 28:17 records, after people saw the son of God, he was worshiped. Finally according to Psalms 9:1 David declared, “I will worship you with extended hands as my whole heart explodes with praise!.”
